What it is

Mahjong is a weekly group that meets at the Rockport Public Library in Rockport, Maine. The event page says: “This group meets on Fridays, at 9:45 AM and plays until approximately noon,” in the Rockport Room (lower level). The library’s calendar lists the series every Friday from October 16, 2026 through January 8, 2027. It is library-hosted local community play, not a paid class and not a shop.

Who it’s for

Midcoast Maine players (Rockport, Camden, Rockland) who want a standing weekday-morning game.

Why it’s listed

This is the plaza’s first Maine listing (no Maine listing on disk or on main). The library publishes a dated weekly series with time and room. Maine is not ND, ID, IA or NH.

Notes

Local group at a public library, Friday mornings, weekly.
Time discrepancy: the event page says 9:45 AM to noon, while an earlier search snippet showed 10:00–11:30 AM. This card follows the current event page.
Holiday dates: Dec 25, 2026 and Jan 1, 2027 are listed on the calendar. Confirm the library is open before going on a holiday.
Host-type caveat: this is the fourth public-library local group in a row; the state differs.
