What it is
JCC Greater Boston Drop-in Mah Jongg is a Newton, Massachusetts open-play table for American Mah Jongg at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC. It is a weekly JCC drop-in, not a named membership club and not Japanese Riichi. The adult-classes page says the session is for people who know the basics of the American version and that play follows National Mah Jongg League rules. Beginner classes are sold separately on the same page.
Who it’s for
Anyone in the Boston / Newton metro who already knows American Mah Jongg and wants a weekday drop-in. The page says all skill levels, as long as you know the basics. Distinct from the Japanese Riichi scene (Boston Meowjong and other ARA clubs).
