What it is

Riichi NoCo is a Fort Collins, Colorado open-play club for Japanese Riichi mahjong. It is not American Mah Jongg and it is not a paid membership parlor. The club’s own site describes weekly play, teaching newcomers, and casual pick-up games. It is listed with the American Riichi Association (13 players, Fort Collins, on the portal at last check). Founder Brad started the club in summer 2025.

Who it’s for

Anyone in Northern Colorado — Fort Collins and the Front Range — who wants Japanese Riichi. Beginners are pointed at the first Saturday of each month. Distinct from Denver-area American / NMJL tables (JCC Denver and similar civic listings).

This is a first-party local group with both a club site and a host-venue calendar, not a scraped directory card. As of 2026-08-23 it is the clearest Riichi table in the Colorado Front Range.

• Host venue is Stodgy Brewing Company. The brewery’s own events page lists “Mahjong at Stodgy” every Saturday, 2:00–5:00 pm, in the private room.
• The club meetup page matches that cadence and room: Saturdays 2–5 pm, private room next to the bar. All skill levels welcome. First Saturday of every month is dedicated to new players, with club members teaching basics.
• Club site also has a calendar page and a ColoRONo 2026 tournament page. Do not treat the tournament page as the weekly schedule.

Notes

• The club asks players to RSVP on the Google Form linked from the meetup page, and to support the venue with a food or drink purchase when possible. The page names beer, root beer, kombucha, and other NA options, plus a rotating Saturday food truck.
• Do not invent a table fee. Neither the club meetup page nor the Stodgy events listing printed a price for weekly play on the check date.
• This is Japanese Riichi, not American Mah Jongg. Players should not expect an NMJL card table.
