What it is
Emmanuel Mahjong is the first-party American Mah Jongg open-play program at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee: weekly National Mah Jongg League tables in the Fellowship Hall, with beginner-friendly teaching and dated free beginner classes. It is a church-hosted local group, not Japanese Riichi and not a commercial parlor.
Who it’s for
Memphis-area players (members and non-members — church membership is not required) who want standing American / NMJL open play with a printed street address and weekly cadence. Distinct from Riichi clubs and from Facebook-only meetup scrapes.
Why it’s listed
This is a first-party venue page with street address, NMJL wording, weekly cadence, and 2026 card language — an unused US metro (Memphis) not already covered by Plaza listings on disk.
