- This is a JCC drop-in, not a named citywide club. Upcoming Events says everyone is welcome. It does not print a guest fee or a registration step for open play. Do not invent a price. Registered beginner / intermediate classes are separate listings on that page; the September beginner series was marked FULL on the check date. Class prices are not printed there.
- American Mah Jongg. Beginner copy names American Mah Jongg and the Mah Jongg card. The pages do not say NMJL or National Mah Jongg League. Not Riichi. Not Chinese / Hong Kong style.
- Building hours on the Directions page: Monday–Thursday 6:00 am–9:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am–6:00 pm. Q: Is this Japanese Riichi?
A: No. It is Mittleman JCC open-play Mah Jongg. The J’s beginner listing on the same Upcoming Events page calls the game American Mah Jongg and teaches the Mah Jongg card. Those pages do not mention Riichi or the National Mah Jongg League by name.
