What it is

Decatur Mahjong Social Club is a mahjong club in Decatur, Georgia. It runs weekly American mahjong open play at local restaurants, supervised games, group and individual lessons, and special events for all skill levels. Its site says it brings enthusiasts together “to play, learn, and connect.” Members pay dues that cover club costs, supplies, events and prizes.

Who it’s for

American mahjong players in the Decatur and Atlanta area, from beginners to experienced players, who want regular tables and a club community.

Why it’s listed

It is a membership-run club in the Atlanta area (distinct from Atlanta Mahjong Studio and Atlanta Mahjong Mentors already on file), and the club publishes its schedule, dues and officers on its own site.
