What it is
Kaiserman JCC Mahjong Club is the first-party open-play Mahjong program under Gems at the J at the Kaiserman Jewish Community Center (Philly J) in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. It is a standing Thursday afternoon playtime for people who already know how to play, with named facilitators — a JCC local group, not a commercial parlor and not a MahjongFinder scrape.
Who it’s for
Philadelphia-area / Main Line players who already know Mahjong and want a free (suggested-donation) Thursday open play at Kaiserman JCC, distinct from beginner classes (those are routed by email on the same page) and from the separate Philly Mah Jawn club listing already on disk.
Why it’s listed
This is a first-party JCC program page with a printed weekly schedule, facilitators, suggested donation, and street address — not a Facebook-only meetup card.
- Gems Clubs page (https://www.phillyjcc.com/gems/gemsclubs/) loaded on 2026-09-16. Mahjong Club section: Every Thursday except Holidays, 1–3pm, in the Kaiserman JCC back lobby. Facilitators: Helene Rosenfeldt and Sharon Dunoff. Program framed as free with a suggested yearly donation of $36.
