What it is
DC Riichi Mahjong is a McLean, Virginia open-play club for Japanese Riichi mahjong in the Washington, DC metro. It is not American Mah Jongg. The club’s own site calls it “The Nation’s Capital Japanese Mahjong Club” and says members range from beginners to experienced players. Weekly play is Sunday afternoon at the Whole Foods in The Boro.

Anyone in the DC / Northern Virginia / Maryland metro who wants Riichi. Beginners are in the club copy. Distinct from the American / NMJL scene (JCC and library tables).
