What it is

iTaiwan Mahjong is a first-party online multiplayer client for authentic Taiwan 16-tile Mahjong. The official site hosts an HTML5 / WebGL browser table (no App Store install required for web play), live lobby tables, private friend tables, AI seat-fill, scoring (Tai) reference, and leaderboards. The franchise dates itself to 2007; the page checked frames the current product as New iTaiwan Mahjong with instant browser play.

Who it’s for

Players who want a real four-seat Taiwanese 16-tile table online — public lobby or private room, with or without AI fill — rather than Japanese Riichi servers, American NMJL card apps, or solitaire tile-matching.

Why it’s listed

Plaza needs a citeable first-party 4-player digital client that is not already on disk (not Mahjong Soul, Tenhou, Riichi City, RonRon, Mahjong 4 Friends, Sega NET MJ, Mahjong Royale, Mahjong Fight Club, Mahjong Journey, Mahjong Dimensions, or Maru-Jan).

• Hub (https://www.itaiwanmj.app/itwmj16/) and play entry (https://www.itaiwanmj.app/itwmj16/play/) returned usable pages on 2026-09-21. English copy describes HTML5 Online Web Version, no download, cross-platform PC / mobile / tablet, Real-Time Table Browsing, private tables for friends, and AI Intelligent Partners when a seat is empty.
• Live lobby stamps on the check date showed active hands with timestamps 2026-09-21 (e.g. East / South / West / Arena rooms) and a Last Update clock on the same day — confirming the service was live, not a brochure-only landing page.
• Rules section documents Taiwan 16-tile scoring (Tai): Dealer, Consecutive Deal (Lian Zhuang), No Terminals, Self-Draw, Concealed Hand, Big/Little Four Winds, Big/Little Three Dragons, Full Flush, All Pungs, flower-tile hands including Eight Immortals Cross the Sea and Seven Steal One, plus the eight flower tiles (Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter).
• Service notes printed on-page: game framed as free-for-life after account apply; winner-side 5% point service fee example (100/50 table, 600-point self-draw → 570 after fee); no fee under 100 points; malicious disconnect warning (1 Base + 2 Tai); leave-game returns to lobby at hand end.

Live table population and fee/policy copy can change. Confirm the play page before treating a private room as joinable today.
