What it is
Mahjong Garden is a free Mahjong Solitaire game from Kiloo A/S of Aarhus, Denmark. It uses the classic 144-tile stack: you lift matching pairs of free tiles until the table is empty. The tiles are laid out on a teak garden table with a koi pond and drifting cherry petals. It runs in a web browser with no download and, per Kiloo’s site, no ads.
Who it’s for
Anyone who wants a quick, relaxing solo tile-matching puzzle, including players who know mahjong only as a solitaire game.
Why it’s listed
It is a solo tile-matching game, not four-player mahjong. Kiloo’s game page lists its features and controls.
- Eight layouts: the classic Turtle, Pyramid, Fortress, Butterfly, Dragon, Bridge, Garden and Spiral.
- Always solvable: each deal is built backwards from an empty table, so there is always a way to clear it.
- Modes: Classic (clock, best times and high scores per layout), Relaxed (no clock or score; free hints and shuffles) and a Daily garden with a streak.
- Helpers: Hint, Undo and Shuffle (a shuffle costs a small amount of score in Classic).
- Controls: mouse, touch or keyboard (arrow keys, Enter to pick, H hint, U undo, S shuffle, P pause, M mute).

FAQ
Q: Is Mahjong Garden free?
A: Yes. Kiloo describes it as free to play in your browser, with no downloads and no ads.
Q: Is this real mahjong?
A: No. It is Mahjong Solitaire, a single-player tile-matching puzzle. It does not use the NMJL card or four-player rules.
Q: Can every deal be cleared?
A: Yes, according to the game page: each deal is built backwards from an empty table, and Shuffle re-deals the remaining tiles into a clearable arrangement.
Q: Is there a daily puzzle?
A: Yes. The daily garden is dealt from the date, so everyone gets the same layout until midnight, and clearing it grows a daily streak.
Q: Does it work on a phone?
A: Yes. The page lists desktop, tablet and mobile, with touch controls and a magnifier for small screens.
