Two Sparrows Mahjong

What it is

Two Sparrows Mahjong is a first-party shop for limited-run mahjong tile sets, game mats, racks, and small accessories, run by a mother-daughter pair, Shawn and Faye. The About page says they design for playability across styles, including Classic sets with their signature “Lucky” tiles, and that they are two people doing limited runs. It is not Southern Sparrow, and it is not Atlanta Mahjong Studio.

Who it’s for

Players who want a small-maker tile or mat shop with printed USD prices on twosparrowsmahjong.com, including American-style play pieces and Hong Kong-oriented events, rather than a big-box American-only boutique already on Plaza.

Why it’s listed

Plaza needs a citeable first-party equipment shop that is not already on disk (not Southern Sparrow, YMI, Oh My Mahjong, the Mahjong Line, or the other equipment listings). Two Sparrows is its own shop. Atlanta Mahjong Studio is a separate Plaza listing; Two Sparrows has used that studio for some past events.

FAQ

Q: Is Two Sparrows the same as Southern Sparrow?
A: No. Two Sparrows is the mother-daughter shop at twosparrowsmahjong.com (Shawn and Faye). Southern Sparrow is a different Plaza equipment listing.

Q: What did sample pieces cost on the check date?
A: The shop page showed Circus Horse mats at $72, a coming-soon Circus tile set at $330, Petite Sputnik at $169, clear acrylic racks and pushers at $49 a set of four, and many mats at $72. Stock stamps differed between the shop and the homepage for the Circus Parade mat.

Q: Do they only sell American sets?
A: The About page says sets are meant to be playable for multiple styles. The events page also sells Hong Kong classes. This listing treats the shop as the primary identity.
